Welcome
Welcome to the Alabama and Northwest Florida MapRaid! We thank you for registering and do appreciate whatever your contributions, whether many or few, you will make towards improving the map throughout this area in the Southeast region (SER) of Waze USA.
A MapRaid (or MR) brings editors together from across the community to focus their efforts on a defined map area for a short burst of editing activity. All participating editors are granted the ability to edit within the entire MR area. Each of you will assigned to a group with a subset of the MR area and its own list of priorities. It will be your task to work with your group to help address those objectives!
Please read this entire MapRaid wiki. If you are uncertain or have questions about how to address something you see on the map, please ask your group leader.
Mission & Priorities
The primary goal for this MapRaid is to as much as possible update all places and resolve existing place issues. We want to make sure Waze provides the best experience for Wazers. So, finding a place in search (with complete and accurate business / entity details) **and** arriving at its location in a timely (accurate) manner is extremely important!
The editing priority is:
- Places. For establishing priority level *only*, these are Place Points (PPs) and Area Points (APs).
- Place Update Requests (PURs).
- Residential Place Points (RPPs).
- Parking Lot Roads (PLRs). If you wish to add a PLR(s) to a parking lot, first you must address/fix all places which will use or be serviced by the PLR(s).
- Map Problems.
- Parking Lot Areas (PLAs). These are the lowest priority; may be addressed once all of the above have been edited.

All raid communications will be in special raid channels on the Waze Southeast Editors Discord server.

Editor Visibility
- While editing in the raid area, please make yourself visible to other editors.
- Enable the Live users layer so you can see other editors in your immediate area.
Level-Based Editing Restrictions
Level 1 and Level 2 editor map editing restrictions remain in effect during the raid.

All APs, except gas stations, are mapped as basic polygons reflecting the building footprint. Gas stations are mapped to the fenceline or parcel boundaries.

Especially for this MapRaid, every place should have as much detail completed as possible. ..... Having all the correct information in them and stop points are in the correct location......
Name.
For a place within a place, append to the place name "( "inside" other place name )". For ex. Target's interior CVS pharmacy is named CVS Pharmacy (inside Target).
