This is a list of wiki pages that all new editors should read. These pages are meant to give an introduction/foundation to get you started. Reading the other parts of the wiki will help as you get more experience.
- Map Editor Welcome
- Common Incorect Edits
- Map Editing Best Practices
- Road Types (USA)
- Places
- Editing Manual
- Louisiana Forum
I recommend that new editors install three WME Plugins. There are many other available, but these two will help you initially, and you can add others after you have some experience.
- WME Validator - This script validates a map area in Waze Map Editor, highlights issues and generates a very detailed report with wiki references and solutions. (Make sure you understand the changes you are making, do not blindly follow validator's suggestions)
- WME Chat addon - This script improves the built-in chat and fixes several issues like showing repeating chats.
- URO+ - Improves display of URs and adds UR filtering capabilities.
