Main screen
When you'll enter the program the following screen appears:
Icons
The Waze screen has the following main sections:
*A top status bar
GPS Connectivity - (green means connected , orange means partial coverage, gray is disconnected).
Connection Status- (gray means disconnected, when connected no icon appears).
Mood icons- (happy, sad, etc...)
The smiley shows the mood you're in at the moment. If you've chosen to be visible to other wazers (green privacy icon), your mood is also displayed to them; and if you've chosen to tweet your reports to your Twitter followers, they'll see your current mood as part of the tweet.
Groups
This icon refers to the number of reports received by the groups you’re registered to.
Reports on the road
This icon refers to the number of traffic reports and events received by the community

On the center of the screen on the map the following icons appear:

3D
Clicking on 5 will switch to 3D view. (if you'll press it again it will switch back to 2D)
This state will be added to the map in another dimension - a dimension depth which will allow wider angle of vision.
Zoom
If you want to zoom-in on the map then press the * button.
If you want to zoom-out on the map then press the # button.

- Me on Map (displays where you are right now).

- Report (you will get this option when pressing me on map)
- Note - report options will appear only if there is GPS reception and network data connection.

Clicking on report will open the next menu:

Downloading the application on the device
1.Using the internal browser, type in the address: m.waze.com
2.Press Ok
3. Wait until the download is finished.
Install the application on the device
1.Press Yes
2. Press Continue.
3. Select on which memory (device/card) that you want to install the software and click Select.
Attention- It is recommended that you install WAZE on the phone's internal memory for smoother operation of the software.
4. Wait until the installation is complete.
5. Select the server you want.
6. Read and confirm the license agreement.
7. Create a new account:
- 7.1 After confirming the license agreement wait until the get started screen will pop
- up and then press on get started.

Menues
Means you have good connectivity and your location is known.
Means a low-power connection, until it improves only your rough location is known.
Means your GPS connection is bad or non-existent, and your location is unknown. To improve it, try to give your phone a clear line of sight to the sky and wait a few minutes.

- This is an exclamation point together with a small number representing the number of events that have been reported in your area. As long as you have Internet connectivity this number is constantly updated. To view details of these reports, tap the Events button at the bottom of the screen.
- If you've stopped, the reports will also be displayed in rotation on the main screen, on your map.
- Simply by driving around with waze running on their smartphones, drivers share real-time information that waze translates into road and traffic conditions. You can also actively report to the community on traffic, accidents and incidents, speed cameras, police traps, blocked roads and more. These are called "events". This information about events is collected and analyzed in real time to provide all wazers with the optimal route to their destination at any given moment.
The Events button displays a menu, organized by type of event, of the real-time live reports by wazers about problems in your area:
- All - gives you a list of all events reported in your area, listed by distance
- Police - displays only reports of police cars/traps , listed by distance
- Traffic - displays only reports of traffic loads in your area (light / moderate / heavy / standstill) listed by distance
- Accidents - displays only reports of accidents in your area.
- Chit Chats - displays the chat and allow to add a comment:
- Other - any reports of events that aren't in one of the above 3 categories.
iPhone
First Time in Waze?
The first time that you run waze, you will have to select between a few settings, with the following screens and messages:
Select Server
If waze can't pick up your current location, you will be asked to choose your general location:
- USA & Canada.
- Israel.
- International (rest of the world).
After you choose your general location, you will be requested to choose your language.
Note that you will be able to change the language later on.
Next, read and accept the waze terms & conditions
Login
After accepting the terms & conditions, you can choose between creating a new user, or entering the credentials of an existing user.
Choose Sign up to log in, or Sign in to use an existing user name / password (if you already created a waze user in the past). Note: you can also choose to use waze anonymously. Choose sign in at this screen to proceed anonymously.

Sign Up
When you choose you will get to this page:
Fill in these fields in order to complete your registration. If you'd like to use waze without creating a user, press the skip button. You will be able to create a user later on.
NOTE I: If you choose to use waze as a guest, you will not able to use the any of functions inside the our web page and all your points and score it will not be accumulate in your account.
NOTE II: The “send me updates” box indicates the option to get or not to get update and news mails in your personal mailbox. After pressing the skip button, the following screen will show up:
In here, you have another time an option to create a user name or continue working with a temporal user name.
Next screen is:

Just after you finish to subscribe to twitter, you will see the next screen:
Here you can choose whether you want to receive pings (chit chat) from other wazers.

Waze allows you to connect to Facebook, in case you have an account. In this screen you can choose to connect your account.

Your account has been created. Press GO and start using Waze.

Choosing will change your icon to a small steam-roller and allow you to record a new road.

Attention: you won't be able to report without GPS reception or 3G/ WIFI connection!

Here you can sing in with a different user, select your privacy settings and sing in to a 3 different social networks.

Here you can set up your privacy settings, such as Nickname, FB/Twitter details, etc.

Tap on the button from the bottom menu.
Then tap on the "Groups" button.
Create Group
Adding Icon
Tap on to add new Icon for the group:
Group Name
Here you can select a name for the group.
Note! once you select a name, you can't change it. The name is permanent.
Group Twitter Account
Tap on to keep your group connected to Twitter.
Group Facebook Fan Page
Tap on to keep your group connected to Facebook.
Joining to existing Group
You can search for a group by taping on the icon

Additional Info
By taping on the name of the group, for example:

To join the group, click the button.
Main Group
To set a group as your main group, tap on MINE tab to see the groups that you are following and tap on the gray star

In order to edit a group that you've created, tap on and select your group . You will see your group info:
Here you can Change Icon, Description, Group Twitter Account, Group Facebook Fan Page.
Tap "save" to save your changes.

In order to add an address/place to your favorites, first search for one, using the search bar.
Tapping on will open these options:
Select whether to Navigate to the destination, show the destination on the map, or add it to your favorites.
After selecting Add to Favorites, enter a name for it.
Recent Searches
Here you can view your recent searches
Tapping on will open these options :
Select between:

Saved locations
In order to save a location, tap on the location on map for a few seconds and a pop up menu will open.
Enter a name for the location.

Select the location you want to delete from your Favorites or Saved Locations and tap on

Installation Guide
First, you need to be sure that your cell phone is connected to the Internet (WI-FI or 3G). To download Waze, go to the web site http://m.waze.com, using your phone browser.
A download screen will open. Select yes/save as and install the program.
During this process you will need to select the location you want Waze to be saved on. For better performances, we recommended to install the application on your device memory and not on the memory card.
First Time in Waze?
The first time you run the application, you'll get a message that indicates that your WM is looking for GPS signal.
Select Server:
If Waze doesn't recognise your current location, it will ask you to select your sever.
After selecting your server, you'll be asked to select your language:
