In the Waze app, under Menu > Settings > Advanced > Auto zoom, there are three options to control how Waze determines how much of the map to display on the display. The three options are:
- According to speed - when the driver travels faster the display zooms out to show more map area, but reduces the ability to see smaller roads. Slowing down reverses the process.
- According to distance - With navigation enabled, as the destination becomes closer the Waze app will zoom closer as well.
- No auto zoom - The Waze app will only adjust the visual zoom based on the manual controls.
