Freeways New maximum speed
Per March 16th 2020 the speed limit on Dutch freeways changes. During daytime - between 06:00 and 19:00 - the speed limit will be 100 km/h on all freeways. During evening and night - between 19:00 and 06:00 - a higher limit might be applicable: the maximum speed from before March 16th. Dependent on the traject this might be 120 or 130 km/h.
At this moment it is only possible to assign one speed limit per road segment. It is not yet possible to work with different speed limits for daytime and evening/night. We discussed the situation with Waze HQ. Waze HQ will make time dependent speed limits soon available.
For now we have removed the speed limits on the freeway segments.
We expect that everyone knows that during daytime the speedlimit will be 100 km/h.
As soon as the app can handle different day and night speed limits, we will make them available, so also the daytime maximum speed will be available in the app.
