Wazeume
Started Editing on: November 12 2018
Started editing in Waze after my local county did a unified readdressing project across the county. Marathon County is Wisconsin's largest county geographically and the readdressing project had over 600 street names changing and new 6 digit house numbers assigned across majority of the county. After reporting some street name discrepancies in the app and finding that the map was maintained by volunteers, I picked up the effort to get the Marathon County maps up to date in Waze.

Other Interests/Activities
Personal Interests
I thrive and feel most at home in the outdoors. As part my passion of cycling, being outdoors, and to support my daughter who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes (an autoimmune condition) at the age of 4; for the last 8 years I've participated in the JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes ride in LaCrosse WI. This entails countless hours and miles ridden each season training with the capstone being the one day 100 mile ride in LaCrosse.

Adult Mentor/Coach - Central Wisconsin Underwater ROV Club
Each fall the team of middle and high school students receives missions specs for various tasks/activities that must be completed for the annual MATE competition. They must then design and construct an underwater remotely operated vehicle to complete the mission as outlined, producing marketing materials, technical documentation, give a marketing presentation and product demonstration of their ROV.
Board Member and Chair Person
I've served on the governance board and currently serving my second term as chair for a local 6-12 grade charter school serving predominately at-risk students with a self-paced individualized curriculum, and small classroom sizes. With the emphasis on personal relationships and their individual needs, the school allows students that didn't fit into a traditional classroom setting to thrive.
