Voorsorteerstroken gaan in tegen het KISS principe omdat ze leiden tot complexe situaties die moeilijker te beheren zijn zonder veel extra meerwaarde voor de routing. Korte segmenten en extra splitsingen kunnen een negatieve invloed hebben op de routing (extra penalty, foute gemiddelde snelheden, ...).
