Many Waze editors and users find an entire social networking aspect of Waze that they didn't realize existed.
From inside the client app you can:
- Chat with other drivers.
- Share your location.
- Share your drive with others.
- Send a beep beep to your friends.
- Send a private message to other Wazers.
- [Carpool Carpool with other Wazers.
- Drive over newly added roads to see the Pac-Man road munching.
- Collect special event and extra point bonus candies by driving around.
Other features include:
- Collect points and badges and advance ranks in the community for both driving and editing the map.
- Learn about other Wazers and new features through the user blogs
- Join the Waze editing community; a family of like-minded individuals who are part of the local and national map editing community through Google Hangouts, Slack channels, on-line WME chat, Waze forums and private messaging, and MapRaids.
- Contribute to the Wazeopedia Wiki to help build out the constantly expanding features and capabilities.
