This searchfunction will change in the future. When looking up for coordinates, the Waze database will be used first. If there will not be a match, the search will continue and use the Google database as backup.
Since November 2014, the search function uses the Waze database first. If there is no match, the search will continue and uses the Google database as backup.
When this change will happen is not clear yet. At this moment there are some tests going on (april 2014).
