Alley
Alley is one of the editor Road types, introduced in aproil 2018. Alleys are used for very narrow streets that are drive-able, but hard to access by car. It's the kind of roads that are so narrow, you'd rather not get a route through when driving, unless it is significantly faster. However, as a motorcycle, alleys are convenient for navigation. We'd expect to find relatively low segment speeds on alleys already, due to the physical characteristics of the street.
- Alleys will have a routing penalty for cars and taxis, not for motorcycles.
There are villages and village-like areas in cities where there are lots of buildings with no visible streets in satellite images, but do have a lot of misshapen road segments present. Most of these segments can safely be turned into Alleys.
