From geographical point of view, India is divided in six Zonal Councils. The administrative division of India consist of 29 States and 7 Union Territories. These are listed in the State field in WME. Each State or Union Territory is divided into smaller administrative areas, called “Districts”. These in turn are further divided into "sub-districts". These districts and sub-districts can be used in the street or city name to distinguish duplicate city or streets, or indicate searchable areas.

From geographical point of view, India is divided into 6 Zonal Councils. For Waze however, we use the administrative division of India. At this moment, India consist of 29 States and 7 Union Territories, which are listed in the State field of the addresses in WME.
