The topic above (the first one) is locked. Where is the right place to discuss this page? In the section Places#When_to_use_Area_or_Point I did not understand why use point when the area is known. This seems stupid because area is always more precise than point, and when you define an area you can set the "main spot / entry" as a point. Well, also, if this rule should be really followed, why not just set point / area automatically after setting the category on WME? Thank you. --Hatzemberg (talk) 18:06, 13 February 2015 (UTC) | The topic above (the first one) is locked. Where is the right place to discuss this page? Question
Thank you. --Hatzemberg (talk) 18:06, 13 February 2015 (UTC)

- Place areas show on the map as you're driving around, just like streets do. Having too many place areas cause too much clutter on the screen. SkyviewGuru (talk) 00:05, 29 November 2015 (UTC)

Public and Private/Residential Places
I think we should have specific guidance on the Wiki for when a person submits a place that is very clearly residential, but lists it as public. Should it always be made residential?
A consideration to make is that we cannot tell if somebody is submitting their own home, or if they are submitting their buddy's home. I was able to find vague guidance on a thread on the forums which implied that it should be made residential, but something like this shouldn't require a forum search to find. Just my two cents.
