When there are several lanes at the exit of a segment, Lane Guidance (LG) allows to select which lane(s) to use, depending on the route. Prior to the Far Lanes (FL) feature, LG allowed to assign lanes to each turn exiting the segment. The FL feature allows to select lanes based on turns further away along the route. For the time being, this can be applied on segments entering a JB, and the far turns are turns exiting the JB.
The LG configuration will display two sections:
- The usual "Turns" section, with one row for each turn at the exit of the segment being configured
- The "Far Turns" section, with one row for each reachable turn at the exit of the JB
Each row allows selecting lanes, setting the image of the arrow, and, for "continue straight", setting the "view and/or hear" options.
For each (immediate) turn in the first section, you choose if you want to involve the far turns in the selection of lanes. If yes, do not select any lane for that turn in the first section, and, in the second section, select lane(s) for each corresponding far turn. If no, select lane(s) in the first section, and, in the second section, do not select any lane for the corresponding far turn(s).
