Entrance roads are named in the official language of the region where they are located.
They always indicate a certain direction.

Only when [[Freeway|Freeways]] (A-number) also have a European road number, only the E-number is used. In all other cases, the national road number is used.

Exits are named in the official language of the region where they are located (see cityname). If the exit has been numbered, the number must be added to the street name. City names that are mentioned on the road signs, are added to the street name, separated by a '/'. By preference, only the first two directions indicated are used. Road numbers aren't added to the name of the exit.
=== How to map ramps ===
Connect the ramp close to the actual split of the roads. Extend the ramp naturally to create a junction with the road segment, typically at a 10–15° angle. This will allow for consistent timing of exit instructions.
[[File:Exit-Ramp-BE.JPG|400px]]
Especially at long exit lanes, make sure not to draw the exit earlier than the actual split, as it has many disadvantages:
* When crossing the node the app will zoom out too early
* The lanes guidance will disappear too soon
* Final instructions are given too early
* It will be confusing when exits follow each other in quick succession

When placing the beginning of a ramp, place the first geometry node of the ramp segment at the point where the solid white line begins, and extend the ramp naturally to create a junction with the road segment, typically at a 10–15° angle. This will allow for consistent timing of exit instructions.

* Use the name from the road signs
* If there is no road sign, use the official name. Otherwise, leave it blank*.
* To indicate the direction of the route, we use ">" in the name, which translates to "in the direction of" in the voice prompts (see [[Text to speak|TTS]]).
Its important to add the exit to the gore point of the exit. Where there are long exit lanes, it is attempting to draw the exit much earlier.
<nowiki>*</nowiki> If no direction can be specified, the ramp is left without a street name, and it will inherit ("copy") the name from the next named segment in the exit prompts. This comes also handy when an exit splits up in 2 different directions.
This has many disadvantages.
* There is no uniformity in use.
* It is confusing to the user
* When crossing the node the app will zoom out (too early).
* The lanes guidance will disappear too soon.
* It is confusing when exits follow each other in quick succession.

Exits: If the exit has a number and/or a name, they must be added to the name of the ramp, followed by ">" and the destination names from the road signs. If there are multiple cities mentioned, separate them by a '/' slash. Preferably only the first two destinations are used.
