New Editor Onboarding

We realise it's tempting to dive right in with all the new knowledge you have, but there's so much more to learn! The onboarding process is critical to ensure any edits you make improve the map and not damage it.

So, before you start editing take a look at these absolute essentials:

Ready for the Master Class?

They're not really master level, but they're an excellent introduction into how broad Waze is, and it's great to be able to watch someone else edit to see how it is done.

Waze Masterclass for beginners in English goes for 45 mins, and features Brett and Ianinessex (a UK Local Champ) sharing how the Waze community works and how to edit the map 101. Feel free to skip ahead if you want. You can also download the handout using the QR code.

Questions? Unsure about something?

The Australian Waze editing community awaits you! The community is a warm and welcoming place where we want to see your editing skills grow as you continue to edit the Waze map.

Time To Start Editing

Head over to the Waze Map Editor (WME) and start editing! Remember, you're supported by a vast collection of resources here on the Wiki and an active community happy to support you. Once again, a very warm welcome to Waze Australia!
